ossory

Milan, 1849: an English gentleman on the Grand Tour and a Lombard peasant sing Italy's national anthem at each other, to Novaro's own tune. He answers every boast with perfect courtesy — Scipio's helmet is crated for Dorset, the sold swords were Birmingham's, and he'll watch the revolution from the hill. The band plays only for the peasant; one of them is staying.

F6 Anthem Satires Satirical March

Bravissimo. Ciao.

Style

A 120 BPM, B-flat-major Italian march split into two solos: a raw, cracking high tenor over full banda brass and marching snare, answered by a dry, unhurried baritone an octave down over parlour piano and thin strings.
