Phnom Penh is named after a hill a woman built by hand in 1372. Its river reverses direction twice a year, and the city holds a boat festival about it. In 1975 the whole place was emptied in three days and close to nine in ten of the country's musicians were killed. What came back came out of gardens, in tins.

Cambodian psychedelic rock in the late-1960s Phnom Penh club style, 118 BPM with a ramvong lilt under a straight backbeat; spring-reverb surf guitar, Farfisa organ, warm fuzz lead and a dry compact kit, opening on unaccompanied Khmer voice with a female lead ornamenting line ends and a male lead on two verses, pinpeat gongs and roneat entering only in the last third.
